Before 1999, Coty had never done anything to market the corporate brand. When they decided to create a commerce destination for all Coty brands, it was the first time they faced the challenge of putting a face on a company that represented so many diverse brands. Olive was asked to assist Coty in making the key decisions to bring their brand onto the web, and into the public, for the first time.
Olive did a thorough brand analysis and creative exploratory to determine the proper tone that conveyed the Coty brand while allowing the individual brands and their products to be at the forefront. We designed the COTYSHOP web site in its entirety, developed templates and guidelines for the site implementation and provided key input and recommendations for the technology solutions.
The COTYSHOP web site established a public face for Coty, Inc. while allowing their individual brands such as Calgon and The Healing Garden to have prominence. Each of the Coty’s 32 brands was represented in this site, with the ability to purchase products for all brands directly from the site.
