Richard Smith's unique approach has been recognized internationally for its vision and originality and infuses creative thinking with concise strategic rational.

Over the past 25 years Smith's experience has included a diverse range of branding and marketing projects for various clients including Cadbury Schweppes, American Express, Levi's, Fidelity, Revlon, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Gillette, Price Waterhouse Coopers and Surface magazine.

As creative director at brand consultants Wolff Olins, New York, Richard created branding schemes for the World Gold Council, US Steel and Citibank. As creative director at Siegel and Gale, New York, he developed brand identity systems for RR Donnelly and the Gartner Group. Richard was also co-founder of influential London-based design studio Area, whose clients included John Galliano and Depeche Mode. His career began at the legendary Peter Saville Associates, London in 1985.

Smith's work has also appeared in numerous books and magazines, including Paper Works, New York magazine, Creative Review, Vogue, Cool Sites, Experimental Formats, Time Out, Graphic Design USA, Print, and Women's Wear Daily.
